The well-meaning but impulsive Agus takes his teenage daughter Robin to his parents in the Moluccan neighborhood of his youth for the summer holidays. Here he hopes to improve their father-daughter relationship and introduce the Dutch-born Robin to Moluccan culture: fighting kites, food, music, solidarity and spirituality. But unresolved trauma within the family and the neighborhood puts their relationship on edge, with father and daughter in danger of drifting further and further apart.
