Karakter Sound is a full-service audio post-production facility, equipped with a 10 x 7 x 4 meter cinema room for Dolby Atmos mixing, several additional mixing studios, an ADR/voice-over suite, and a foley studio. We cover all kinds of services from audio conform all the way to re-recording mix and everything in between.
Supervising sound-editing
With over 25 years of experience in sound design and post-production, founder Jaim Sahuleka has worked as a supervising sound editor for over 15 years.

Dialogue Editing
Our Foley artists recreate everyday sounds in the studio, perfectly complementing the visuals. Think of sounds like footsteps, rustling clothes, or breaking glass.
Automated Dialogue Replacement (ADR) is the re-recording of dialogue in a studio. This is done to improve the dialogue technically or content-wise, and may be necessary when, for example, ambient noise overpowers the original recording.
A voice can drive or enrich a story, whether it's a film, documentary, or commercial. By using the right intonation and emotion, a voice can define the mood of different scenes.
It is precision work that requires both technical and acting skills.
Dialogue editing involves refining and compositing spoken text so that conversations sound natural and fluid. All unwanted noise is removed, leaving the focus entirely on the actors and their performances.
Sound Effects editing
Karakter Sound's sound effects editors build layers of sound effects from our extensive local and online sound libraries to create a unique and immersive soundscape.
Re-recording/dubbing mixing
During the sound mix, all elements come together and are combined into a well-balanced mix.
It's not just about volume, but also about dynamics, space and rhythm, so that every sound finds its rightful place within the total listening experience.

DCP check
We offer AD services that are compatible with the Earcatch and Subcatch apps (used in the Netherlands). We write the AD script, cast and record the voiceovers, and deliver them to the AD platform.

In addition to sound post-production, we also offer cinema-quality DCP checks (7.1 or 5.1 surround sound, Barco DP-90 2K cinema projector BEAMER SPECS).
We charge €135 per hour.
